Well Planning & Engineering
Quantum well planners are highly experienced in generating state-of-the-art directional and horizontal projects as well as precise anti-collision, torque-and-drag, hydraulics and survey error analyses.
They also specialize in directional equipment recommendations, BHA design, project execution plans, well progress on a day-by-day basis and post-well/post-project performance analysis.
Performance Drilling Motors
Quantum motors incorporate field-proven, state-of-the-art technology to accomplish drilling objectives on time and on budget. Our motors are specifically engineered for the wide range of conditions found in the oil and gas drilling industry and offer a superior level of performance.
Quantum motors are owned and serviced in house, which results in a mean to failure rate second to none. Quantum’s engineer designed performance drilling motors have been field tested, delivering long, consistent motor runs time and time again.

A top sub allowing survey seat or float valve placement, eliminating the need for a separate sub in the BHA

Directional Drilling
With a workforce that averages more than 25 years experience, Quantum’s staff offers a diverse range of directional drilling knowledge, which is paramount to the success of our projects. When coupled with our engineered solutions, Quantum can bring a “fit for purpose” custom directional package for any project.
At Quantum we believe it is critical to provide an accurate approach to directional well programs in a timely and cost effective fashion. To do this, we utilize our past drilling experience and the latest technology to ensure superior solutions for your well from spud to TD and compare well plan calculations to engineering constraints to ensure that a plan is feasible.
Horizontal Drilling
Horizontal drilling is a versatile form of drilling and has seen enormous growth in the last decade as it offers a clear alternative to vertical drilling. Along with reducing the environmental impact of the drilling process, horizontal drilling is more cost-effective, uses less produced water and creates less drilling waste.
Supported by a superior and seasoned workforce, Quantum has pioneered and applied numerous technological advancements that have expanded the reach and productivity of complex horizontal wells. Many of our advanced services have been used to provide solutions that have led to the successful completion of horizontal drilling projects.
MWD and Gamma Logging
Quantum utilizes the latest state-of-the-art MWD pulser available on the market. Our innovative design has proven more reliable and robust in practically all well environments, while providing excellent energy conservation resulting in extreme operating costs reduction.

Shock Subs
Shock Absorber Tools improve drilling performance by improving drill bit and drill string stability. Quantum’s shock subs keep the bit running smoothly, especially reducing damaging loads and bit bounce in hard-rock drilling environments. Quantum’s shock subs are designed to allow optimum energy levels (bit weight and rotary speed) at the bit to enhance penetration rate. The Quantum shock sub reduces vibration throughout the total drill string, minimizing damage to connectors.
End-of-Well Recap
Quantum’s inclusive well recap report looks at the entire well, from start to finish, to document the performance of the actual drilling of the well compared to the well plan.
In the well recap, the actual drilling time, rate of penetration and other tracking/reporting tools, including daily surveys and bottom-hole assembly/slide-rotate reports, are used to compare drilling results against program estimates. Recapping well performance helps document achievements as well as the failures and assists in future well planning.
